Yuen Law earns Notable ranking for Corporate and M&A practice in Asialaw Profiles 2021

The full-service law practice has a firm forte in transactions, with multimillion-dollar deals among its notable cases.

Boutique law firm Yuen Law LLC has been recognised as a Notable firm in the practice area of Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions in the 2021 edition of Asialaw Profiles.

In the eight years since its founding in 2012, the go-getting Singapore law practice has grown to offer a full suite of legal services.

Yuen Law has built a solid reputation for its Corporate work for clients ranging from MNCs to SMEs and start-ups. Its metier in transactions invariably sees its lawyers sit across the table from big law firms in multimillion-dollar deals, and the firm advised on over 30 M&A and fundraising transactions in 2019.

The Corporate Practice Group is helmed by managing director Samuel Yuen and associate director Michelle Chan, who are supported by associates Su Myat Htun and Joyslyn Long.

The team works in close collaboration to provide invaluable legal advice to clients that include venture capitalists, manufacturers, fintech firms, biotech companies, pharmaceuticals, medical clinics, retailers and social enterprises both in Singapore and overseas.

“We are a small boat in the ocean, setting big waves into motion,” said Samuel Yuen, on this achievement. “We will press on, to hone our skills to a higher level.”

Asialaw Profiles is Asia’s most authoritative legal directory. It is an independent selection of top law firms and practitioners in 25 jurisdictions, following an extensive review of their key practice areas and casework, in consultation with clients and factoring in peer reviews and industry research. Sectors covered include banking and financial services, technology and telecommunications, consumer goods and services, and pharmaceuticals and life sciences. Only 24 law firms from Singapore made the cut this round.

Yuen Law’s ranking follows a rigorous qualitative review by the research and editorial team on the firm’s cases, client references, and peer feedback. Link: http://bit.ly/YuenLaw_ALP2021

Among Yuen Law’s notable cases, it acted for Singapore-based venture capital firm Pine Venture Partners on its investment into Archisen, a start-up focused on urban farming.

Yuen Law also advised InfoCorp Technologies on the terms of its convertible agreement regarding equity for early stage financing rounds. This included advising on the offering regime in Singapore under the Securities and Futures Act.

We thank God for this latest recognition, and are most grateful for the support of our team and all our clients.
