Prior to joining Yuen Law LLC, Wendy Tan was with the National University of Singapore’s Faculty of Law from 2007 to 2020, where she served as head of HR, Finance, Procurement and Corporate Communications. She played a pivotal role in transforming the administration of key corporate services functions, and was instrumental in the staffing and set-up of processes within each unit when the functions were decentralised.
She also led the overhaul of the Alumni Relations and Development section’s operations and developed a functional workflow for student financial aid administration. At the University level, Wendy successfully implemented improvements to finance systems through business process reengineering initiatives, as co-lead of the team tasked to review Accounts Receivables processes.
Wendy’s experience in managing a diverse scope of responsibilities on the work front and as "minister of home affairs" as a mother of three (2 human, 1 furkid) has given her in-depth working knowledge of relational, operational and administrative matters within an organisation. She believes that employees make the organisation and subscribes to Konosuke Matsushita’s “people before products” philosophy.
At Yuen Law, she aims to provide contextualised recommendations and solutions in the areas of human resources and general administration, and assist the management in effective policy formulation and strategic decision-making that will enable the organisation by first enabling the employees.

Cheryl Mok is the Business Development Manager at Yuen Law LLC.
Cheryl possesses a rare mix of artistic sensibilities, procedural know how and business acumen that will prove valuable to our clients. Cheryl received formal education in graphic design at the prestigious LaSalle College of the Arts and possesses considerable artistic flair and a keen eye for detail. She is experienced in matters relating to trade mark and design protection.
Cheryl applies her innate and considerable artistic talent in assisting our Intellectual Property Practice clients, by assisting them in positioning and optimising the strategic value and protection of their trademarks and designs through the marriage of functionality and artistry. A free spirit with a can do attitude, Cheryl cut her teeth in the business world by overseeing the planning, sourcing and operational activities of a local footwear retail and manufacturing company.
In her free time, Cheryl paints, reads, plays the piano and ukulele and is the proud owner of a Pomeranian named Lilo.

Meng Hwei is the Finance Manager at Yuen Law LLC.
Meng Hwei has been an accounting professional for more than 20 years, with extensive experiences general accounting and internal control processes. Meng Hwei has served stints in local enterprises and MNCs.
Prior to joining Yuen Law, Meng Hwei was a finance and grant manager at a local charity organization where she helped to set up and streamline the reporting of the grant progress and financial report, while ensuring that internal controls are adhered to.
Integrity and trust are values she abides by. One of her favourite mottos is “Do not do unto others, what you do not want others to do unto you”. She also believes in continuous learning. These values and principles have helped her tremendously in her well-being and career growth.
Meng Hwei enjoys playing mahjong, board games, music related activities, outdoors and travel.

Joyslyn trained in corporate and commercial matters, more specifically in corporate regulatory and compliance work for companies, including listed companies. As an associate, she has assisted with a variety of matters, ranging from corporate issues such as the drafting of commercial agreements and as well as private client matters.
Joyslyn endeavours to work with clients to find the best solution for their legal needs, and hopes to consistently improve to best assist clients.
When not working, Joyslyn can be found reading a book or attempting to hold one-sided conversations with her (admittedly unappreciative) cat.

Su Myat Htun is a Senior Associate with Yuen Law LLC. She handles corporate and commercial matters, as well as private client matters.
Su is trained in the corporate and commercial field, specialising in energy, infrastructure & projects. She has assisted in advising and in the drafting and review of commercial agreements in a range of practice areas, including project finance and construction, employment and personal data protection.
Su understands that the work of lawyers extends beyond just explaining the law, and strives to provide holistic solutions to clients that are both legally and commercially sound.
Outside of work, Su enjoys watching late-night comedy shows, listening to BTS and chasing her cats for very much unwanted cuddles.

Valerie Ho is an Associate with Yuen Law LLC.
Valerie trained in general litigation and has prior experience with dispute resolution involving litigation, mediation and adjudication. As an Associate with Yuen Law, she has assisted in advisory work for corporate issues as well as advising, drafting and reviewing of commercial agreements.
Valerie recognises that the law is a minefield and aims to help clients navigate that minefield by providing practical solutions to achieve their goals.

Denise is our firm’s Associate.
She graduated from the University of Nottingham, where she also garnered achievements in various activities in university, from debating to negotiation.
Denise has wide-ranging experience in litigation and corporate practice. Litigation-wise, she has assisted in civil claims from contract law to employment law, and in criminal matters from trial to plead guilty cases. Her corporate experience includes document review and due diligence projects, as well as Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and SGX-listed company compliance.
Denise enjoys sleeping in on cold, rainy days, reading fiction, and various fitness activities.

Keyun is our firm’s Associate.
Keyun has a wide range of experience in commercial, civil and family litigation matters. She has appeared and/or assisted in proceedings at the Family Justice Courts, State Courts and the Supreme Court.
Keyun assists with mainly civil and commercial litigation matters including shareholders’ disputes, contractual claims, landlord and tenant disputes, insolvency and employment disputes. She believes that everyone deserves legal representation and a chance to be heard.
In her free time, Keyun plays the oboe and performs regularly with various musical groups in Singapore.

Kieran is a practice trainee at Yuen Law LLC.
Kieran graduated from NUS with a Bachelor of Laws Second Class Honours (Upper) in 2021 and will be called to the bar later this year.
Kieran has assisted his teammates in a wide spectrum of civil and commercial litigation matters including shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, property-related disputes and personal injury matters amongst others.
A firm believer that lawyers ought to play their part in alleviating injustice in society, Kieran spearheaded several pro-bono initiatives during his schooling days. He hopes to pursue similar opportunities once called to the bar.
In his free time, Kieran can be found cycling along the north-eastern coast of Singapore. He’s also an avid Liverpool fan and their relative success in recent years has been the primary cause of his sleep deprivation.

Kayshavani graduated from Murdoch University in the top 30% of her cohort.
Kaysha is trained to handle family and private client matters including matrimonial disputes, adoption matters, trust, wills, probate and administration, and estate planning. She has also assisted in matters heard in the Family Justice Courts, State Courts and the Supreme Court. As an associate, she assists with private client, family and civil matters.
Kayshavani is passionate about the law and endeavours to find practical and innovative solutions to meet the individual needs and circumstances of each case.
She is also able to converse in Mandarin and Tamil. In her free time, Kayshavani can be found volunteering at a children’s home or exploring the latest food trends.

Si Xuan graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from the Singapore Management University in 2020 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2021.
Si Xuan was trained and has diverse experience in family litigation, criminal and civil matters. Si Xuan has also assisted in corporate matters including drafting agreements and document review.
Outside of work, Si Xuan is actively involved in sports such as basketball and swimming. Si Xuan also enjoys picking up new skills and is currently taking Krav Maga lessons.

Serene Tan is Manager (Private Client) at Yuen Law LLC.
Serene is a veteran of the conveyancing practice, with more than 30 years’ experience. Serene has variously been a member of the conveyancing practices of various large and medium sized Singapore law practices and has over the years gained a vast wealth of know-how in property transactions and documentation work.
A highly organised person, Serene is quietly effective and an indispensable asset in any property transaction. Her vast experience allows her to anticipate and pre-empt potential problems in each transaction. Serene excels particularly in supporting sale and purchase, redemption, refinancing and mortgage transactions.
In her free time, Serene ushers at her local church and serves with its local chapter of the Women’s Society of Christian Service. Serene also plays the ukulele as a member of a bluegrass band. Serene is a proud mother of 2 lovely young adults Cassandra and Ericson.

Riikka is our Business Development Manager (Foreign Desk).
Riikka has extensive experience in the international banking industry, specializing in fields such as corporate banking, compliance and management of share-based incentive schemes. Before joining Yuen Law, Riikka was in charge of the Danish customer portfolio in a Nordic bank where she helped to grow her customers’ business in Southeast Asia.
Inspired by the startup culture, Riikka is also responsible for the investor relations at Slush Singapore, an event and a movement developing the startup ecosystem in Singapore. The first event was held in September 2016 with over 2000 attendees, 160 investors and 200 startups participating.
Riikka is a Finn and a Singapore PR, and she has been calling the Little Red Dot her home for the past six years. She is also a board member of Finnish Business Council of Singapore, a position where she can support Nordic companies to expand their operations into Southeast Asian market. Riikka loves to travel to explore new cultures and cuisines. And in 2017 she will finally run that full marathon.

Prior to joining Yuen Law, Sharon worked in corporate communications. Her experience with handling stakeholders and creating messaging for corporate communications has helped her become an effective touch point between clients and our legal team.
Outside of work, Sharon enjoys playing the piano, soaking herself in a good book and coffee.

Over the years, Tara has served in various hospitality companies which includes hotels and airlines, where she excelled in providing exceptional customer service to clients. She also enjoyed a fruitful stint in corporate events planning.
Singapore has been her home for eight years since she landed a job in one of the leading banks in the country prior to joining Yuen Law.
Tara is a team player with a strong work ethic, and has the aptitude to foster positive relationships. This allows her to deliver the highest level of customer service and to build long-lasting relationship with our clients.
Tara is a lover of music and an adrenaline junkie. Outside work, if she’s not dancing or playing the piano, you can find her trying out a new sport or jumping off planes and waterfalls.

Bernice believes in putting the customer first and takes pride in keeping the clients happy and satisfied. Bernice’s commitment to excellent customer service is seen in her responsiveness and attentiveness to the clients’ needs.
Her life outside work sees her whipping up dishes in the kitchen. Bernice is an avid listener of second-generation Korean Pop music.

He is also the go-to executive for a wide spectrum of our legal practice, including conveyancing and other real estate transactions, notarial services, as well as matters related to the Mental Capacity Act, such as Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Brendan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York in 2013. Thereafter, he travelled the world, living in Italy, the UK and Australia for some time before returning to Singapore.
Outside work, he enjoys family time, Theological discussions, Gregorian Chant, trying not to forget his Italian and playing with Leila – his Singapore Special.

Caroline has worked and lived in many cities across the globe. In her early years, she grew up in Indonesia, and later, pursued an associate degree at the Borough Manhattan Community College in the state of New York. Having studied and worked in Indonesia, United States and Singapore for more than a decade, Caroline’s life experiences has taught her to appreciate diversity and culture.

Xiu Yi graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. Prior to joining Yuen Law, Xiu Yi worked in communications and marketing for a non-profit organisation and a private country club. She also enjoyed a productive stint at a food and beverage services company, in a supervisory role.
Proficient in English and Mandarin, Xiu Yi uses her communication skills to bridge the communication between our lawyers and clients. Xiu Yi is a big believer in teamwork and collaboration. She works closely with the team to help clients achieve a well-communicated goal. .
Outside of work, Xiu Yi enjoys travelling to learn about other cultures, and painting.

Daniel believes continuous learning is the key to success. “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty – Henry Ford.”

Ken was born and raised in Malaysia. Prior to joining Yuen Law, Ken worked at Resorts World Sentosa as Finance Executive, where he handled AML/CFT (anti-money laundering/countering financing of terrorism) matters.
Ken is a Finance Executive at Yuen Law, assisting in billing and payment processing matters. Ken is a keen listener and actively seeks to understand clients’ needs.
In his free time, Ken enjoys diving as he finds exploring coral reefs and the deep blue the best way to relax and recharge.

Melissa graduated from the Universiti Utara Malaysia with a Bachelor of Laws Second Class Honours (Upper) in 2020. Prior to joining Yuen Law, Melissa completed her pupillage at a medium sized conveyancing firm in Kulai, Johor, and was called to the Malaysian bar in 2021.
As a self-motivated and driven individual, Melissa embraces new challenges and seizes opportunities to learn and explore different practice areas in law.
Melissa is passionate about volunteer work. Her experience in serving the underprivileged and elderly has taught her to be a good listener and how to show care and concern for others, allowing her to connect with colleagues and clients better. .
Melissa is a nature lover and enjoys making time for a hike or a walk in the park.
